The 3 in 1 Avocado Tool: An Example of Well Executed Design

Good design can sometimes be tough to identify. Other times it's very easy to spot right away. One of my favorite examples of good design is the 3 in 1 Avocado Tool.

Now, there are several versions of this tool out on the market, this one in particular is my favorite because you don't have to adjust your grip at all throughout the process and can quickly and effectively cut an avocado. As a recent vegetarian convert, avocados are one of my new favorite foods. Cutting them, however, is usually super annoying.

The 3 in 1 tool is good design because with one tool, you can cut the avocado in half, remove the pit and slice the avocado into strips. Though I haven't purchased this item yet, I constantly think about it and it is definitely on my list of necessary kitchen tools to purchase.
